Words by: Zoé Bélisle-Springer

Rupert Bottenberg is a Canadian visual artist with a drawing-based practice, a writer, editor and event coordinator. Former music editor at the Montreal Mirror Newsweekly, he currently serves as co-director for the collaborative art initiative En Masse. A devoted comic-book artist and enthusiast, Bottenberg enjoys symmetry in his art, a perfect expression of order and peace. His artistic style has been described as "clean-line" and full of "technical precision". In this Eavesdrop episode, Rupert Bottenberg explores the definition of art and chats about his featured artwork series "Proxima".
